Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson
Nancy Wilson, a jazz singer and a three-time Grammy Award winner was born in Chillicothe, Ohio 20 February 1937, to Olden Wilson an ironworker who had worked for a long period as housekeeper. Nancy was the eldest of six kids. The music passion of her father and the records he played at home had a major influence on Nancy at the age of a girl. When she was just four an age, she realized she would be a singer. She developed her talent through her participation in the choir at church. Following her win in a talent show on TV when she was 15 years old, she began to appear regularly on Skyline Melodies, while still in highschool. It was at that time that she began to work in night clubs around the at the same time. Following her graduation from high school aged 17 Nancy took a class for a term at Ohio's Central State College now Central State University before leaving and becoming professional as a musician. The first album she recorded was in 1956 by Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. The group toured with her from 1956-1958. In the band, Nancy released her first record with Dot Records. Cannonball adderley encouraged her to go for a trip to New York in order to advance her career. She visited The Big Town, New York in the year 1959. She was commissioned to perform at The Blue Morocco Night Club in The Bronx which was where her agent had seen her. His agent signed her with Capitol in the year 1960. Her debut was that year. Guess Who I Saw Today. Her albums were a hit and Capitol issued 5 Nancy Wilson albums in two years. Initially focusing on blues and rhythm under Adderley's influence she moved away from R&B as she embraced music from jazz and torch. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley formed a band in 1962. This led to her rise up the charts. In 1963, she scored her biggest hit by releasing Tell Me the Truth. The following year, she received an invitation to perform at New York's Coconut Grove, the most prestigious club in America.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a British actor and actress in the film and television industry. She was Chloe Winthrop's leading lady in the Netflix film The Kissing Booth. She is she played King Saul Israel's Daughter Michal in the ABC Biblical series Of Kings and Prophets. In addition to that she's appeared on a number of TV shows, including The Originals. Joy Richardson, her mother's full name, is the one she shares with you. She attended a private institution and completed graduation from the University of Oxford. She is a graduate in Archaeology, Anthropology. Maisie was first introduced to acting in the year 2012 in the film Our First World. She appeared in a brief feature film Americano and Rum as Ellie in 2013. She was cast in a small cameo part in the role of Korr Sella for the 2015 film Short Wars : The Force is awakening. She played Chloe Winthrop in Netflix's original film The Kissing Booth Season 2 & 3.
