Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Avery Sunshine has been a hit everywhere. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You a House 12 was released only in Japan. It's been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live shows. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) offered her the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
